Summer Wedding at Long Branch in Northern Virginia

There is something about a Summer wedding that just brings everyone together. The cold of Winter and Spring are gone and people want to get out and celebrate. Jordan and Kevin got married on a warm, sunny day in August at Long Branch. Their northern Virginia wedding was full of mountain views and long sweeping pastures.

Jordan and Kevin both got ready at Long Branch. Kevin in the grooms tack room and Jordan in the bridal suite. Jordan had the sweetest inscription on Kevin’s tie and Jordan had a police badge embroidered into her gown. Their emotional first look was on the front porch (which was the original back porch). Their wedding flowers were shades of blue.

P3 Events was Jordan and Kevin’s wedding day of coordinator. For their wedding P3 Events was running around making sure everything was set up per our walkthrough 2 weeks prior. A day of coordinator also makes sure all vendors arrive timely and set up accordingly. P3 Events worked closely with the DJ and caterer to coordinate the day of events timely.

As Jordan and Kevin were tucked away and guests were arriving, it started to sprinkle. It turned out to be one of those hot Summer days when “freak” rain storms just popped up. Thankfully it passed, but P3 Events could see rain off the mountain blowing toward Long Branch. So, P3 Events quickly got everyone seated and started the Ceremony early! Jordan and Kevin tied the knot, got their gorgeous Franzi Lee Photography pictures, and guests got under the reception tent just as it started to thunder storm!

I’m going to say this for brides on the fence about reserving a tent… do it, just do it! If we didn’t have a tent and sides on that tent, everyone would have been soaked! The catering team was drenched from dinner service between Long Branch’s kitchen and the tent for dinner service, but all our guests were dry!

Jordan, Kevin, their friends and family danced the night away and had a fireball shot line! Jordan and her Dad busted a few moves during their father-daughter dance too!
